Sometimes 9gag top comments are more a joke, troll or dick comments even if it's related to serious subjects. Reddit comments are usually moderated, which is good. I don't have to say more, that's the only point I have to leave here. And what else I could say, Reddit has the best comment systems out there. I personally don't have any problem against 9gag, but i thing reddit is better, and on the stealing web content part, the stuff that i see on 9gag front page, seen it on reddit atleast a week ago.
Not only is most of 9GAG's content unfunny, but unoriginal too. Reddit has a nicer community. Also, the 9GAG admins select which content gets to be on the hot page, so they are basically in control of what is seen by 9gaggers, meaning any posts that reveal the evil plights of 9Gag and it's community are hidden.
Nothing but agendas from mods to admins. Bans handed out for the slightest deviation from the hive mind. And groups pay to push their opinions, Then use bot farms to upvote their own posts and comments. I don't think it is copying reddit because it has more free speech and less bad impact on posts who are really different from most people view.
Reddit is pushing me to some view while 9gag give me more open choice to say, Post, Comment and chat. There are like fire and water.
As a original content creator, Post stealing happened on both site. People steal and post anywhere they like. Reddit is also strict about its rule and can be a burden to new users. I tried Reddit just to post my original content but was greeted with a culture shock.
The Sub Reddit rules require me to comment a lot to earn karma points for the first week. You have to do the same for each individual sub if there is restriction for it. This is because Reddit is trying to fight spam which is understandable but kinda force you to obey everything. In contrast, 9GAG allows you to upload whatever you like with no restriction, I can just create a new account right now and post my OC memes immediately.
I can't deny that Reddit has diverse subreddits with millions of people involved. What i don't like about the Reddit is that i was forced to put on a fake smiley face because of the downvote button, People will judge.
I saw how honest opinion got downvoted because they gave an unpopular opinion. In 9GAG, Downvote doesn't feel painful at all. The upvote represent the total number of people supporting you, Your comment will be ignored if your opinion is bad. Therefore 9GAG is good for of its flexibility and freedom. Reddit is good for its community involvement. There are pros and cons of both end. If i have to choose one, 9GAG is the answer. I just wish there is a site with a flexibility of 9GAG and community of Reddit.
Its same like fb and twitter. You will see same posts on both platforms. While reddit is just plain unfunny. The comments in 9gag is where the most fun is, Again reddit is just dumb and unfunny. People on reddit try way to much to be smart. Is there such a thing as PC humor? I don't know, I've still to appreciate it. In 9gag all opinions can be found and there is no such thing as going too far, Which is a great thing. Also who gives a shhh if your memes are a month old, If you only visit 9gag it's brand new for you.
Also, Who the ef wants to open memes one by one; Reddit change your layout for memes. In Reddit, too see any link, you have to click, and frankly, the pages just look plain ugly. As for stealing, I know Reddit steals too, so don't try to pin us there, Redditors.
You will have major spyware and viruses and you will have no way to get on the Internet. Me: duh. I have "no I'm not swag" because quite frankly, swag stands for "secretly we are gay" and 9gag stands for "9 gay annoying ball licking goo suckers. A try hard 4chan website that is run by year-olds and supplies you with normie memes that are stolen from facebook.
Where dead memes go to hell. This where all memes go to die some say. A soul stealer. I was a normam citizen , then I took a 9gag to the soul. A fairly well-known meme-based website where people from all over the world go to criticize other groups of people for their beliefs, race, country of origin or personality types. It is also a breeding ground for atheistic hatred toward Christians and other religions alike.
It also has the occasional humorous post but is primarily comprised of what are known as " newfags " who enjoy reading meme-based pictures because it has become a fad on facebook.
John Doe : "So I was looking forward to coming home , relaxing, and reading some funny stuff on 9gag but all I ran into was a bunch of atheist posts saying how stupid and ignorant all Christians are.
And that's not exactly funny to me, if I wanted to read that crap I'd go on youtube.
