Too much water sorry, ANY water makes it worse, don't kid yourself - you're going to get far more pinholes than with a real grout. Three hours later it feels like skinned caulking, twelve hours later it feels like stiff dry play dough, thick joints are still very plastic 30 hours later. After several days it does actually harden, but a grout saw doesn't take it out like grout - it seems to remain plastic NOT brittle or frangible.
I hit on all three of these points, and trying to get a clean result prompted me to write this note. I used a light colored Trafficmaster compound canvas so it wasn't too noticeable, but quality control is quite lacking. And it cracks. The only redeeming quality of this gunk is that it does stick well to itself in a second application which you WILL need to apply in places.
Other than that, I would wish this on someone I really didn't like. I left on a business trip, and realized on my return when it had hardened that removing the bit that I had done was going to be harder than pushing on.
Color match was a concern for regrouting with real grout, as was "How will real grout stick to the remnants of this stuff". In short - expensive, NASTY to work with, mediocre results after much more effort and a lingering concern about how it will hold up. I've not tested the stain resistant claimed qualities, given the other "qualities" of this substance, even if it bounced spilled wine back into the bottle I'd recommend against it. Don't even think about using this, unless you enjoy spending the occasional evening wearing a leather teddy and a ball-gag while being beaten.

I noticed that even in the display at the store you can see pinholes and inconsistency. I'm assuming that the company did that display and should be the best at using the product so even they screwed up. The products that carry these names are custom made or at least custom packaged for HD by many different companies. The pseudo-grout is made by Tile Perfect.
Excuse the quality of the pics, the blurring actually makes the grout results look better than life! Attached Images. That grout job looks exactly like the display at the store. So I doubt you can get the grout any better.
Thanks for the info about the brands. But I'll cross Tile Perfect off the list too. This and the Edge Tile, can't believe they don't take them off the shelves. I do share his concern about it not getting hard after 12 days.
I have followed this stuff since it came out. I have heard 3 positives, one being the previous post. The other 2 were my brother in law and the guy who put in his tile. Know what your thinkin, why didn't i tile my brother in laws?? His buddy that he tailgates with convinced him he should do the job.
