Have been searching for product that was oil-free, matte but not a "dry look" matte and had light-to-medium I have spent a lifetime searching for the perfect foundation and now I've found it. I own and wear a few different foundation fourmulas in the Chanel line in Beige Natural. Unfortunately, I spend too much time outside and my coloring has changed.
I bought this one in the shade Cendre, after i gave up on LM and still not found Revlon Colorstay, well, it's nice product, the color is ood, ok coverage but poor staying power and weird scent, too Not worth the money.
It never settles into your skin and it is very obvious you have foundation on. It is also not for oily or even combination skin. I was very disappointed they would put the Still a bit undecided about this one.
It's a little hard to blend, and I must use powder to take the shine away. But that said, the color I use Beige is perfect for me, it lasts long and together Pro Lumiere in Limpide.
Hi Kate, I bought it at Debenhams and it looks to be still for sale as far as I can see! I certainly haven't heard anything about it being discontinued. Maybe try online? I'm so upset. Someone tell me But they have a new one Le Teint or something like that. So far I like it. But the Prefection Lumiere was my favorite foundation.
I tried a sample of the replacement for Perfection Lumiere and it is awful;nothing like the original. It dries very quickly and the texture is terrible. Some department stores still have some Perfection Lumiere in stock for now but once it's completely out of stock, I will have to try to find an alternative to the terrible replacement. I don't understand why they decide to replace a brilliant foundation with something so inferior. I have been using Perfection Lumiere since it was first launched by Chanel.
Looking for Something? Wednesday, 27 July A few of you might remember that I wanted to try Chanel Perfection Lumiere after my sister wore it at her wedding last summer. I'm always on the lookout for good full coverage foundations and was very impressed with the way this one lasted all day, and particularly with the gorgeous silky finish and luminous quality it gave to her skin.
Several months later I'm quite slow , I finally got around to buying it for myself. My skin is pale bordering on medium, and I was matched in store to the shade 20 Beige. Back in the day, a loooong time ago , I used to love Chanel's Pro Lumiere foundation. That was sadly discontinued, and I eventually moved on to Estee Lauder Double Wear - amazing coverage and lasting power - and more recently Clarins Extra Comfort - a beautiful dewy finish.
This is the first Chanel foundation I've tried in quite some time, and interestingly, it was created as a replacement for Pro Lumiere. You could say it's the happy medium between Double Wear and Extra Comfort, yet funnily enough, although I liked it from the beginning, it's taken a while to work its way into my regular routine.
Over the last couple of weeks, though, I've found myself reaching for it almost daily, so I thought now would be as good a time as any to write a review. Perfection Lumiere is supposed to contain a perfect balance of correction and light, using the Chanel Perfect Light Control complex. The finish is matte, but radiant - "silky" really is the best word I can think of to describe it - and it is remarkably long lasting. I wore it to a wedding recently and was surprised to find my makeup pretty much intact after a very long, hot day.
I like the sleek glass packaging, especially the handy pump applicator which is perfect for dispensing the right amount of product. The consistency of it is not exactly watery, but it is remarkably lightweight.
In fact, of all the full coverage foundations I've tried, it's the lightest, which makes it a great choice for summer. It works very well when built up in thin layers to achieve the level of coverage you want, and it's almost impossible to overdo it.
Even better, the light consistency makes it super comfortable to wear. Some links may be affiliate links. All opinions, as always, are my own. Posted by Kate at Labels: Beauty , Chanel , Foundation , Makeup. In terms of blendability, this is the worst foundation I own. It dries so quickly there is no time to blend the foundation. On the flipside the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation blends so easily on the skin — no fuss no drama.
The Chanel Ultrawear Flawless Foundation is thicker than the Chanel Perfection Lumiere so it very strange that double the pumps are needed to achieve the same level of coverage the Chanel Perfection Lumiere coverage provided. Was the formula changed to force the foundation to finish quickly to increase sales? Chanel Ultrawear Flawless Foundation has a sticky tacky finish so this foundation must be set with a translucent powder to get rid of the sticky tacky feeling.
Additionally, the foundation settles into fine lines and accentuates pores. Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation dried down to a soft powdery matte finish that was very natural.
The foundation looked flawless on the skin.
